Message by the MEC, Mr Mxolisi Dukwana
The Department of Public Safety, Security and Liaison in the Free State Province, continues to ensure that the SA Police Service cooperates with communities in strengthening crime prevention.

We have come a long way since the days when the men and women in blue were called a “Police Force”. The emphasis is now on service delivery to the communities instead of ruling by fear. The South African Police Service wants to work together with communities in the prevention of crime and acknowledges the important role each community member can play in assisting the quest to root out crime.

One of our department’s key challenges is to make sure that Community Police Forums are fully functional. It is only when people are involved en masse in CPF activities, that an impenetrable network can be spun against the evil of crime.

You can make a difference in your community: Join your CPF and have a say in your own safety!

We hope that you will find the information in this website helpful and of significance. Please fill in the online form where you can voice your opinion on crime prevention and other safety issues in your area. Your input is very valuable in continuously assessing and redressing safety and security issues in the Province.
