Meqheleng community braves
the cold to attend meeting

Meqheleng

Ficksburg showed their mettle when they turned
up in droves during a rain and snow storm for
the public education meeting on Wednesday 24 May
2006. The meeting was arranged by the
Directorate Public Education and Corporate
Communication of the Department to discuss
safety and security related issues such as
arrest, detention and bail conditions and the
roles of the Department of Public Safety,
Security and Liaison vis-à-vis the South African
Police Service (SAPS).
The Free State
experienced some very cold weather since 20 May
2006 resulting in a heavy snowfall that left the
Eastern Free State covered in a white snow
blanket

Because of the
foul weather resulting in slippery road
conditions, the meeting in Rosendal on 25 May
had to be cancelled. This meeting will be
rescheduled in the near future.
